Happy Thanksgiving!!!

What a great day! Jon's brother Matt & his fiance Jessica flew in from Boston to spend Thanksgiving with us up at Burke & Melinda's house. Jill & Jonathan joined us as well. We spent the entire day eating and laying around, it was wonderful. Cooper had plenty of people wanting to hold him so I especially enjoyed all the company and an "arms free" day. Melinda made an amazing meal and I got off the hook from clean up duty because Cooper needed to eat...sweet!

Cooper ate too much...he's wiped out.

Melinda & Jill...feeding Coop so mommy can have a glass of vino!!

Matt told us all that nobody else was allowed to hold Cooper except him the entire first day of his visit. Cooper took many naps on his uncle Matt. Matt & Jess got him this cute, little Santa outfit, it cracks me up!

All of us on the porch at Burke & Melinda's house. It was such a beautiful day!

Auntie Andrea's Visit

It was so great to see Andrea. She came out for five days and was so cute & great with Coop; a true natural (much more than me). Plus, she cleaned my entire house, made me sandwiches every day & kept me entertained with all her observations & comments. I really wish we lived closer, Cooper LOVES his auntie. I can't wait to see her again at Christmas and I'm looking forward to her babysitting Coop so I can hit the slopes!!

Bathtime...Cooper LOVES his baths.

Just Chillin...
Demonstrating my sling....love the sling!!

Cooper is staring at both his aunties.

Heredity at its best... Hair Lines

It took about five years for Jon to lose his hair...it only took Cooper about five days. Oddly enough, they have the exact same hair line...amazing.

Just some updates...

Coop went to the doctor today & he weighs 9 pounds/3 oz!! He is also almost 21 in. long so he is growing. He is also losing his hair, in an old man sort of way. It's hilarious. The doc said he's healthy & growing but probably won't start sleeping in longer stretches until he's 12-15 lbs. So, my goal the next few weeks is to get my little love bug fatter so I can get some sleep!!!!!!

Jon got Cooper this little hat in the Nashville airport. I don't feel comfortable taking him out in public in it...I'll leave those honors to Jon. Jon asked the sales person if they made them in adult sizes too...thank goodness they don't!

Evan & Kelley...my little & BIG helpers

Kelley & Evan broke away from Boston for a few days to come visit us. It was such a treat to have them in town...Kell would get Cooper in the mornings before I heard him & let me catch an extra hour or two of sleep (it was dreamy). I wish I had a picture of Jon & Evan because they were two peas in a pod. Evan called Jon "Yonny" and Jon spent hours throwing Evan around and Evan laughed the entire time saying "agin Yonny....agin Yonny".

This picture is priceless. Evan LOVED holding Cooper and loving on him.

Evan also really enjoyed bath time with Coop. He tried to get into the little tub with Cooper & informed me that he wanted to go fishing in the water. Evan kept saying "clean da baby...ewh...dirtay"

Evan was a big helper during diaper changes (so was Kell). He would look at Cooper and say "ewh...stinky...what happened" and then try to wipe him up with numerous baby wipes. Classic.

Pee Pee Tee Pee

I love this pic for many reasons. First, I love how cute his full, little milk belly looks. Our friends, Craig & Kathy, gave us these pee pee tee pee tents and I thought it was just a funny gift. No, these things are a life saver and serve as fully functional helpers during changing time.

Cooper's First Bottle

Well we made the leap and Jon gave Cooper his first bottle last night. This means that I can now leave the house for more than two hours at a time....whoa hoo!! Jon & I cheered him on as he gulped down, we really need to get out more :)

A day in the life of Cooper....

Cooper has been spitting up a lot so I have learned to put a burp cloth behind him everywhere we go. Thanks to Jarrell for the burp cloths, they have really come in handy! Jarrell makes the cutest baby stuff (her burp cloth is in this pic). I wish I was as much of a domestic diva as she is. I can barely boil water so sewing is out of the question! I just love this pic...he is so content (Jon gave him that little teddy bear and he really held on to it).

Cooper & I go on walks just about every day. He usually falls asleep (I think he loves the vibration of our crappy road) although the other day I forgot his pacifier & he had a total meltdown about a mile away from our house...rookie mistake on my part! I had to carry him in one arm & push our empty stroller in my other hand. Needless to say, I got quite the workout!
