Get in my belly

It was a pretty mellow week. Cooper is now eating cereal out of a bowl with a spoon...exciting stuff! Well, I'm not sure if "eating" is the right word. He gets it EVERYWHERE! He seems to like it so far, it actually taste better than I thought it would.

A pic from his very first feeding...

Cooper kept putting his hand in the bowl & in his mouth so Jon thought it was a good idea to put a metal hanger around his arms to restrain him. I thought this was a bad idea for many reasons but let Jon take one quick picture...then I took it off immediately. I do have to say it is a good idea, maybe not with a metal hanger though.

Fat rolls, love baby fat rolls.

Grandpa Bob is in town for a visit!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!

Fun in the Sun

Ahh...a taste of spring has finally arrived! It's been sunny & in the high 70's the past few days. We have been taking full advantage of it.

Jon dressed Cooper in his swim shorts even though I told him the lake is too cold to take him in the water. Jon told me "he needs to wear them, just in case". Hmm...

Hanging out with Jon on the porch...it was 80 degrees!!!

Wearing his new hat (thanks Craig & Kathy) & sunscreen, of course!!

Working hard with dad in the yard. Jon can't wait until he's big enough to get to work!

I know...I suck at blogging these days!

I really don't know where the last three weeks have gone!! I will try harder to blog more frequently...promise. The below pics are from the past few weeks....Cooper is getting so big!

Just hanging out in the sun room after a long, exhausting day with his girlfriends at daycare...

Jon dressed Cooper in his Master's outfit. Jon is very proud of this outfit.

Cooper had to come to work with me one day...there was a minor crisis at his babysitter's house. The rotovirus plagued the little girls and I didn't want Cooper exposed so I found myself running down the streets of Charlotte with high heels pushing a stroller at 7:45am in the morning. Luckily, Melinda saved the day and picked him up around 10am and watched him the rest of the day. This is him taking a nap in the my cubicle.

Craig & Kathy came for a visit to Charlotte over a fun weekend. We had a wonderful time and they both enjoyed playing with the little guy. Too bad they live so far away.

Valentines Day....

Those of you who know Jon, know what an incredible cook he is. We switch off years being "in charge" of V-day and this year it was Jon's turn (when it's mine turn....we usually starve or I set off the smoke alarm). Jon went all out this year (well he actually goes all out every time it's his turn & at least once or twice a week on a regular basis...I know, I'm spoiled). Our dinner was truly sensational. I'm a lucky girl, what can I say?!?!

Jon's caesar salad. He made his own dressing, parmesan cakes & croutons. He is very concerned with presentation if you can't tell.

WOW....WOW...WOW. His main entree was unlike anything I've had in a restaurant. He bought the freshest scallops, shrimp & lobster....made his own tomato/basil cream sauce and wham, pure heaven. He used fresh noodles as well, I savored every bite!

These are not cream puffs....Jon kept correcting me. I can't remember what he called them (it sounded like a cancer drug name). He made this whole thing....nothing store bought (except the ice cream). The shell was like a cream puff but he filled it with white chocolate raspberry & chocolate chunk ice cream and then made his own chocolate sauce to drizzle over the top. TDF!!!

This is Jon grating fresh chocolate shivers over our after dinner coffee drinks. Amazing.

Channeling Richard Simmons...

Our week flew by. The weather was amazing this week....more like spring then winter. Below are a few pics from the week. Jon has discovered sweat bands....I think it's a little weird but whatever...it cracks me up to see Cooper in a sweat band!!

Such a big boy sitting in a chair!

Chillin in his chair...trying to put anything into his mouth.

Flying through the air on mom's airplane legs!

He looks so old here....

First week back at work...

I'm a little behind on blogging....this was my first week back to work so time just didn't seem to present itself. We all adjusted just fine though, better than I thought we would and below are a few pics from the week.

Hanging out on the porch after a walk with Mimi. Melinda really needed a cold beer afterwards!! It was 65 & sunny this past Saturday and our neighborhood is full of hills so she worked up quite a sweat.

Molly let us borrow her bumbo chair and Coop LOVES it. He is hanging out with his dad while Jon is whipping us up one of his amazing dinners.

Remember slinkys!!! This is by far one of Cooper's favorite toys. This is actually Jon's slinky from his childhood...amazing Melinda kept it.

Pooped out with dad on the couch....I love these moments.
