More Olympic Pics

We've had a fantastic time. Chris was actually able to watch the finals of the bobsled with us since his team wasn't able to race (one guy's knee was too swollen). We all felt a little somber once the Olympics ended but fixed our sorrows with a couple great days of snow boarding!!

Luckily...we didn't flip.
My two crazy brothers (Matt & Brent) on each side of a die hard American. Matt's wife Alisa just had baby #4 six weeks ago and while she was slaving away at home, Lawyer Boy was tearing up Whistler. Brent was also without wife/child...do men ever grow up?

Whistler....GO CHRIS!!!!!!!!

This has been amazing so far. We watched Chris & his team push off third today on their first run and on his 2nd...his poor team crashed. It was heartbreaking and terrifying all at the same time. They work so hard to get to the Olympics and to watch their dreams disappear in 2 seconds is very hard to digest. Chris of course is extremely bummed out and discouraged but he has fire in his belly to compete in Russia in 2014. Below are a few pics from today.

All of us...before his first race....we were so excited!

Chris waving after his first run....before the crash!!!

Coop was such a trooper....said "go Chris" over & over!

The screen right before they pushed...

A little taste of Spring

We got a tiny taste of spring this past weekend...what a treat it was too! It was sunny & in the high 60's both Saturday & Sunday. We spent Sunday up at the lake with Grandma & Papa and on Saturday Jon took Coop on a bike ride to the park. Below are a few pics.

Let is snow, let it snow, let it snow....

We have gotten hit with two snow storms over the past few weeks. Below are a few pics of Cooper's fun in the snow. Jon tried to teach him how to pee in the snow which was a little awkward...Cooper enjoyed eating the snow instead (not the yellow snow).

New Year's at the Powder Palace

We always head up to Kelley & Pete's place after we spend a few days with my parents. Last year it was amazing because I was in Utah for 3 weeks and Cooper and I had fun going back & forth between Park City & grandma & grandpa's house. This year sadly we only had three days but we made the most of it.

Evan is three now!! This is Evan showing Cooper the "big boy" ropes..

This after they both peed...Coop on the bath rug and then Evan standing up in the tub. I'm pretty sure their fathers were doing the same thing in the back yard (or sink) at the very same moment.

"come on baby Cooper, just trust me"

This is NYE up at the Canyons before the fireworks, before all the kids were in bed by eight and the parents by ten...what has happened to us!!

It's currently 15 degrees....yikes!!!!!! Happy New Year!!!!!

Christmas with the Fogts

Every Christmas day we fly out to Utah; it's a long journey with a kid!! We basically fed him the ENTIRE time (and gave him benadryl of course)! It's always so fun to hang out with my family over the holidays...so much action going on. This year was a little scarce....I missed Mikey, Jill & Jonathan and Matt & crew. It's nearly impossible to get us all together at one time these days!

We figured since Chris can push a bobsled....why not Cooper?!? I don't think their two man team will qualify for the Olympics but Coop enjoyed it!

Jon tried to beat their time but no such luck...

Jill & I got my dad a "sauna suit" for Christmas as a joke...a joke. Bill actually wouldn't take it off, this pic was taken after he did snow angels in the front yard. My mom is such a great sport...

Coop loves his auntie Andrea...

Grandpa got Cooper a little puppy for Christmas that barks, wags it's tail and
sticks it's tongue out. Cooper kept barking back at it...

Christmas with the Shows

Christmas at the Show house is always entertaining. We spend every Christmas Eve at Jon's parents house and kick off the night at our annual Japanese steak house. Afterwards, we come back to the house and open presents and fight over lottery tickets. Below are a few pics from the evening

Twas the night before Christmas.....

Cooper and Papa, just before bedtime.

This is the superfly leather chair Grandma & Grandpa Show got Coop...it's amazing & he loves it.

This is at the Japanese steak house...Cooper was thoroughly amused.

Christmas is not complete without dancing/light-up hats....
